Plants usually eglandular, rarely glandular, distinctly canescent. Stems branched basally or just distal to base, branched distally. Racemes: rachis often densely pubescent, eglandular. Fruiting pedicels divaricate to ascending, forming 30–60º angle, (4–)6–12 mm. Flowers: sepals purple or rose, 1–2 mm; petals 1.5–2 × 0.3–0.5 mm.
Phenology: Flowering mid Mar–Apr.
Habitat: Gravelly and stony hills, desert grasslands, roadsides
Elevation: 1400-2000 m
Distribution
Ariz., N.Mex., Tex., Mexico (Chihuahua).
