Leaf blades 1–5 cm × 3–12 mm. Disc corollas ca. 4 mm. Cypselae ca. 3 mm; pappi 3–3.5 mm. 2n = 26.


Phenology: Flowering Jan–May.
Habitat: Sandy or gravelly soils, deserts
Elevation: 0–700 m
