Plants, prostrate or mound-forming, 0.5–1 m; burl absent. Leaf blades bright green, shiny. 2n = 52.
Phenology: Flowering late spring–early summer.
Habitat: Montane chaparral and forest openings
Elevation: 1500- 2400 m
Discussion
Subspecies parryana occurs in the Transverse Range of southern California from Ventura to San Bernardino counties.
