Plants 17–40+ cm. Stems 1–20, densely woolly among proximal leaves. Leaves not crowded (internodes evident); blades linear, linear-oblanceolate, or oblanceolate, ± gland-dotted. Involucres 6–10 × 9–12 mm. Ray corollas (7.4–)9.5–14 mm. Disc corollas 2.5–3 mm. 2n = 30.


Phenology: Flowering Feb–Apr(–Jun; also Nov).
Habitat: Roadsides, pastures
Elevation: 100–200 m
