Basal leaves: blade margins entire or subentire.
Phenology: Flowering Apr–Jul.
Habitat: Rocky sagebrush slopes, hillsides, and banks.
Elevation: 200–2000 m.
Discussion
Variety chelanensis is known from the eastern slope of the Cascade Range in Benton, Chelan, Kittitas, Klickitat, and Yakima counties, Washington, and Hood River and Wasco counties, Oregon.
