|discussion=<p>Chamaesaracha pallida is found in southeastern New Mexico and western Texas. It is most closely related to C. edwardsiana; it differs in having a relatively dense vestiture of dendritic hairs (except for a few populations in the Guadalupe Mountains that are largely glabrous), a more western distribution, and a hexaploid chromosome complement.</p>
