--><p>Molendoa has lateral perichaetia, as is also the case with Anoectangium and Pleurochaete in the Pottiaceae. The costa of Molendoa has two stereid bands (in robust specimens at least), and the distal lamina may be 2-stratose at least in patches.</p>
