Koeleria pyramidata is sometimes said to be in the Flora region; such reports seem to reflect a different interpretation of the species. In Europe, Koeleria forms a series of polyploid complexes in which cytotypes are morphologically and ecologically distinct, but species boundaries are not. Koeleria sometimes includes the genus Rostraria, which differs in its annual growth habit, and in having awned lemmas and paleas.</p> |tables= |references={{Treatment/Reference |id=arnow1994a |text=Arnow, L.A. 1994.
