|discussion=<p><i>Ptychostomum longisetum</i> is a circumpolar arctic-boreal species related to <i>P. inclinatum</i>. Gametophytically it is similar to <i>P. intermedium</i> and <i>P. salinum</i> but differs in the extremely long seta and very large spores.</p>
