|discussion=<p><i>Callicladium haldanianum</i> grows in flat or loose extensive mats that are usually devoid of other species. The plants are distinguished by their concave leaves, short double costa, curved nearly erect capsules, and sword-shaped, shortly tapered, somewhat flattened branches.</p>
