|discussion=<p><i>Potamogeton obtusifolius</i> is a distinctive linear-leaved species with the leaf blades round at the apex, especially when fruiting inflorescences 5–7 mm wide are present. This is unusually wide for one of the linear-leaved species.</p><!--
