|discussion=<p><i>Corchorus siliquosus</i> is native in Collier, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties. Reports of it from Alabama have been based on a garden-grown plant from Mobile County, and attribution to Mississippi has been based on misidentifications of <i>C. hirtus</i>.</p>
