|discussion=<p><i>Erythranthe chinatiensis</i> is similar to <i>E. parvula</i> in its prostrate habit, five-lobed calyces, and fimbriate corolla lobes. It differs from the latter in its nearly glabrous leaves and strongly reflexed abaxial corolla lip. <i>Erythranthe chinatiensis</i> is known only from Presidio County but should be expected to occur also in adjacent Chihuahua, Mexico.</p>
