Stems 5–50 cm. Leaves: basal axils ± densely tomentose, terminal lobes 3–15 mm; cauline 0–2(–3). Heads 1–6. Peduncles 3–15 cm. Phyllaries 6–9 mm. Florets 30–60; corollas pale yellowish, 3–4 mm, throats 1.5–2 mm, lengths 2–4 times lobes; anthers 2.5–3 mm. Cypselae 4.5–5.5 mm, hairs 0.1–1(–2) mm; pappi (1–)1.5–3 mm. 2n = 34.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Limestones, shales
Elevation: 1500–3000 m
