Herbs with open habit, glan­dular puberulent throughout, usually also sparsely villous, or glabrate with few glandular hairs. Stems to 30 cm. Leaves: none clustered near base. Capsules: pedicel 0–5(–15) mm. 2n = 14.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jul.
Habitat: Desert washes, slopes.
Elevation: 500–1900 m.

Discussion

Subspecies gilmanii is known from south-central to southeastern California and southern Nevada.
