Stems 20–35 cm. Leaves: basal axils ± densely tomentose, terminal lobes 2–6 mm; cauline (3–)4–9. Heads 2–15(–30). Peduncles 2–6 cm. Phyllaries 3–6 mm. Florets 10–30; corollas yellowish, 2–3 mm, throats 1–1.6 mm, lengths 2–3 times lobes; anthers 1.6–2 mm. Cypselae 3–4.5 mm, hairs 1–2 mm; pappi 0.5–1.5 mm. 2n = 34.

Habitat: Sands
Elevation: 1100–1700 m
