Stems pubescent with 3- or 4-rayed trichomes. Racemes on all or most of scape. Fruits oblong to broadly ovate, 3–6(–8) mm; valves: trichomes stalked and 4-rayed, sometimes with 2- or 3-rayed ones; ovules 12–24 per ovary.


Phenology: Flowering Feb–Mar.
Habitat: Rocky slopes, gravelly soil in desert scrub communities, grassy slopes, arroyos, gullies, washes, ledges, under shrubs
Elevation: 200-1800 m
