Flowers: corolla white, fading to rose pink. 2n = 22.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jun.
Habitat: Coastal grassy fields, bluffs, roadsides, dunes.
Elevation: 0–400 m.

Discussion

While most populations of subsp. rosea occur on the coast or coastal bluffs, it is known also from sites about 15 miles inland.
