Shrubs to 0.5 m. Stems spreading or prostrate, much-branched from base; branchlets pubescent. Leaf blades elliptic to ovate, 10–15 × 5–7 mm, margins coarsely spiny-toothed. Inflorescences: peduncle 3–7 mm. Flowers: petals white or pale green, orbiculate, 1 mm. Drupes subglobose, 3–4 × 1–2 mm.
Phenology: Flowering year-round; fruiting year-round.
Habitat: Pinelands, rocky pine woods, roadsides.
Elevation: 0–10 m.
Distribution
Fla., West Indies.
Discussion
In the flora area, Crossopetalum ilicifolium occurs in Collier, Miami-Dade, and Monroe (Keys only) counties.
