Basal leaves narrowly oblanceolate, (2–)3–8(–10) × (4–)5–14 mm. Involucres 4.5–6 mm. Florets 3–4 mm. 2n = 18.
Phenology: Flowering Aug–Oct(–Nov).
Habitat: Moist sandy loam or sandy peat, savannas, pine flatwoods, swamp margins
Elevation: 10–100 m
