|discussion=<p><i>Penstemon serrulatus</i> occurs from southeastern Alaska through western British Columbia and western Washington to southwestern Oregon, largely in the Cascade and Coast ranges. Herbarium specimens sometimes are misidentified as <i>P. ovatus</i>, which has glandular-pubescent inflorescences and navicular pollen sacs.</p>
