Herbs perennial, caulescent; caudex subterranean. Hairs basifixed. Stems single or few to several. Stipules distinct. Leaves odd-pinnate, short-petiolate; leaflets 17–27. Racemes loosely flowered, flowers nodding. Calyx tubes campanulate. Corollas yellowish, banner abruptly recurved through 45°, keel much longer than wings and nearly equal to banner, keel apex obtuse to subacute. Legumes persistent, stipitate, pendulous, oblong-obovoid, turgid but not bladdery, obcompressed, bilocular. Seeds 12–14.
